What’s this guff about Sunak having a ‘good week’?
Nothing good about passing widely condemned Rwanda Bill, punching down on the sick and disabled and making mad defence spending commitments.
That’s a hat trick of inhumanity, contempt and uselessness.

Brexit is so relentlessly shit.
But the political effort that goes in to pretending it isn’t is such an obnoxious waste of everyone’s time, resources and patience.
It is a fundamentally dishonest project and denying its damage just makes the damage worse.

An asylum backlog of 100,000 people and growing. A Rwanda plan that may forcibly deport c. 100 at a cost of half a £Bn and growing. A refusal to process any claims. It’s not meant to work. It’s meant to hurt and hate and divide. That’s all this govt does.

Yeah let’s have a Tory wettie about the cost of renationalising the railways. Because their fiscal responsibility has been top notch. Brexit. Rwanda. HS2. Defence spending. Tax cuts. Reneging on net zero. They published full, costed analysis on those didn’t they? Ffs. Course not.

France takes three times as many asylum seekers as Britain, Germany ten times as many. And neither is negotiating a deportation camp scheme with an African dictatorship.

Britain should be as angry about this as about the Post Office scandal
