Day 18 I have the main colors down and I'm now starting on the most time consuming part, the metal. I wanted to be able to tell these guys apart from the Menials so I went with a different shirt color. The outfits kinda look like prison jumpsuits now. #hobbystreak

Day 19 I got the silver bits done and darkened them down with a wash. Did some touchups on the runoff bits over the brown, but I still have a good chunk more to do tomorrow. Probably should have left the wash until after the gold. Whoops. #hobbystreak

Day 20 Taking a short break from painting so I don't burn out. I got the nightmare Nekima boxes from Malifaux set up and primed today. #hobbystreak

Day 21 I started on the Lagan (alternate Blood Hunter) and I think I screwed up. I feel like it looked better before I applied the contrast paint. Looks like I'm gonna have to redo it. #hobbystreak

Day 22 I tried repainting the eels and gave them a wash. While it was drying I had the brilliant idea to try using Vallejo Earth Texture for the first time. Well it looks like mud at least #hobbystreak

Day 23-26 I spent the last three days ripping apart and reorganizing my painting area so that's been more than enough hobby time for me. Now that that's done I'm back to working on the Malifaux Nightmare Nekima box. #hobbystreak

Day 27 I got some skin based on the demon fishies. I also somehow snapped off two fingers from the male Young Nephilim. #hobbystreak

Day 28 I'm experimenting with a few different paints to get some variety on the skin tones. This is completely different from where I had pictured going. #hobbystreak

Day 29 Nothing worth posting a photo of today. I did a small bit of work trying some more skin tones and then I spent a few hours starting to set up a dedicated playing area. I'll be so happy when this is up and running. #hobbystreak

Day 30 Still working on what we've taken to calling the studio. On a less frustrating part I discovered a really nice grey-blue I didn't know I had in my paint rack and tried it on the fishes. #hobbystreak

Day 31 I lucked into another very nice shade in my paint rack. I grabbed the green on a whim and I feel like it really works well for the seaweeds. #hobbystreak

Day 32 I sat down for a good bit today and got some much needed work done on these guys. I was going to use the orange as a base for their eyes, but now I'm wondering if I should just leave it as is. What do you guys think? #hobbystreak

Day 33 Got some fin work done today. #hobbystreak

Day 34 Sat down for a few hours today and spent a hefty amount of work on the fins and touchups on the grey. I'm close to getting these guys done and so looking forward to it. #hobbystreak
