Q: Why do you still use jumpers and not dip switches? A: Because whenever I have dip switches, I accidently switch them and forget what they were set to, and I have to reconfigure the board all over again! S100 boards with dip switches across the top of the board are EVIL!

Cromemco ZPU versus Altair 8800c has been defeated! There was nothing wrong with the ZPU board. The problem is that the Intel 8080 puts the M1 signal on DO5 during pSYNC which is where the front panel expects it. Z80s don't do that. Had to mod the front panel and BAM!

The guts of the Cromemco Z2 (ZPU, 3x 16KZ and 4FDC) I acquired recently is actually 100% functional. I just need a Z2 case to put it in, lol. The case is huge since its designed to be rack mounted. I might need a couch to crash on when it shows up, lol.

Me: No new projects until the current ones are done! Also Me: Designing a rack mount "floppy" disk enclosure for the Z-2 with 4 HxC floppy emulators in it.

I really want to make the Cromemco WDI-II HD controller useful again. That however means creating a device that uses the strange parallel/serial communication the board does with Cromemco hard drives.
