I spent the last 2 days trying to figure out why the SWTPC 6800 had to warm up before serial would work. It was one of those stupid 70s closed up sockets. Replaced the socket and it works perfect now, sigh.

So my Cromemco Z-2 has a 4FDC floppy controller. It is less than ideal. Everything I want to do requires its big brother the 16FDC, so I have modded my 4FDC into basically a full 16FDC. The following picture is basically what it looks like now, lol!

I am really scratching my head here. USB -> Serial adapter connected to Z2 on a Windows machine. Can get to the console, but I try to boot off floppy the console locks up. Tried multiple of everything. Same cable setup, plug it into a Raspberry Pi and it works fine.

I love my new company, but it is becoming very apparent that I know more about advertising and advertising tech than a large majority of the company, lol. Its not a bad thing, but the onboard trainings are extremely pointless for me.
