Good morning Europe, Let's get to work… 1) As some of you already heard: the EU has confirmed that they are starting to work on a pan-european legal entity early 2025 🔥 2) Instead of waiting and hoping for the best. We want to frontrun this and – together with the whole

Did you ever deploy your NixOS configuration to the wrong host? It happened to me a few times. Luckily it's easy to revert but it can cause downtime and state folders to be left around.

Blocking code merges until they are "reviewed" is probably the single most killer of development velocity. Using git the same way the Kernel team uses it makes no sense. The key thing about the Kernel team is it's not really a team. The risk is very high and trust is very low.

Don’t let AWS rip you off. We grew our B2C education app to ~400k users and $1M+ ARR on a single $87/month dedicated server from OVH. No autoscaling nonsense, managed database markup, or observability bloat. Just a fast, predictable server that quietly did its job for years.
