We are living in a #FoundationCapitalism dystopia where the media cannot afford to report on how US foundations are the generals paying Canadian NGOs to be their foot soldiers in a war they can't win in Washington.
My latest THE FIREBREAK.
'They never cared about the environment but saw such campaigns as a better way to oppose capitalism (given that any attempt to challenge capitalism on its economic and developmental success stories would be doomed to certain failure).'
My latest THE FIREBREAK.
My latest in THE FIREBREAK shows how #FoundationCapitalism is the worst form:
-Their only product is fear and outrage
-Their secretly-funded scientists lie
-They use the media they fund to mislead, and
-They manipulate the polcy process.
Then they campaign to stop capitalism.
Bitter activist campaigns have 'stolen the future' from our youth.
Having had enough of their end-of-days BS, my ever-positive optimism got me to find five positive ways to restore hope.
Now if only the media would wake up and get how they have been played.
My latest RealClearScience.
It's a complex web but to understand #FoundationCapitalism we need to start with the ties of the interest groups, using foundations to funnel money into campaigns that will generate revenue (sales or settlements).
Everyone profits from it.
Pt 2 on the money loop published shortly
In a new series THE FIREBREAK on #FoundationCapitalism , I first had to draw a picture of how a tech billionaire is easily manipulated by seasoned activists chasing their honeypots.
I had three billionaires in mind in drawing up this simulation.
It's the con of the 21st century
Four years ago, I was playing around with a #Fearometer idea.
On glyphosate, I suggested that one of the threats to the success of an activist fear campaign on pesticides would come from farmers if they were to mobilise.
I guess I nailed that one...
Ruthlessly determined to achieve their ends, these activists have unlimited funds and a sense of righteousness - all that's needed to win in an apathetic world.
The Risk-Monger looks at #FoundationCapitalism in the latest Firebreak article.

Over the last 25 years, we've had 4 waves of unthinkable tech wealth creation.
These nerds became billionaires. But the foundations they formed became sources for a cottage industry of manipulative activists developing the tools for #FoundationCapitalism .

Since Jacques Delors, Brussels has had no visionaries. This has been intentional.
But their #WeakLeadershipByDesign strategy begs the question: How weak should nominated EU leaders be?
My wish list looks at how to avoid another tragic five years: risk-monger.com/2024/04/02/wis…
