We are living in a dystopia where the media cannot afford to report on how US foundations are the generals paying Canadian NGOs to be their foot soldiers in a war they can't win in Washington.

Activist science at $500/hour

'Although Dr. Wells presents certain data points that support this conclusion, his proffered opinion required several methodological contortions and outright violations of the scientific standards he professed to apply,”

'They never cared about the environment but saw such campaigns as a better way to oppose capitalism (given that any attempt to challenge capitalism on its economic and developmental success stories would be doomed to certain failure).'

Every time I write about how plastics are more sustainable than alternatives, I feel like I'm talking to myself.
The lies and deception of the anti-plastics, anti-industry groups are so feral, so relentless, that facts have little chance.
This is another one of those times...

A good example of the perversion of precaution.
Instead of managing risks, the government's only tool is to keep taking benefits away... until ultimately they ban driving.

My latest in THE FIREBREAK shows how is the worst form:

-Their only product is fear and outrage
-Their secretly-funded scientists lie
-They use the media they fund to mislead, and
-They manipulate the polcy process.

Then they campaign to stop capitalism.

Bitter activist campaigns have 'stolen the future' from our youth.
Having had enough of their end-of-days BS, my ever-positive optimism got me to find five positive ways to restore hope.
Now if only the media would wake up and get how they have been played.

It's a complex web but to understand we need to start with the ties of the interest groups, using foundations to funnel money into campaigns that will generate revenue (sales or settlements).
Everyone profits from it.
Pt 2 on the money loop published shortly

So now I learn I have the right to be protected from the threats of climate change.

What? Global mortality from extreme weather has fallen by 99% since 1920?

That can't be true!
I need a lawyer. I have a right to be protected from the threats of capitalism. Someone has to pay!

In a new series THE FIREBREAK on , I first had to draw a picture of how a tech billionaire is easily manipulated by seasoned activists chasing their honeypots.

I had three billionaires in mind in drawing up this simulation.

It's the con of the 21st century

Four years ago, I was playing around with a idea.
On glyphosate, I suggested that one of the threats to the success of an activist fear campaign on pesticides would come from farmers if they were to mobilise.

I guess I nailed that one...

Ruthlessly determined to achieve their ends, these activists have unlimited funds and a sense of righteousness - all that's needed to win in an apathetic world.

The UN wants you to think these kids spontaneously urge adults to care about their future in 2050 (and that they're not being used by adults who wrote their script and provided the data).
It's like the UN doesn't even try to respect ethics or integrity.

I get endless spam from sketchy journals. Normally I ignore them, but this one exceeds.
Fake names / schools on their editorial board.
49 titles all publishing bi-weekly
Impact factor: 0.5
Peer review fee: €1000

When media amplify NGO reports, do they check the journal quality?

How do you give away a billion dollars?

Just take a wagon full of C-notes to a neighbourhood in need. In a few hours, you’ll do a lot of good.
Or…
Set up a foundation in your name, lay out a strategy, exert political influence and in 20 years, commit to giving away $2 billion.

Since Jacques Delors, Brussels has had no visionaries. This has been intentional.
But their strategy begs the question: How weak should nominated EU leaders be?
My wish list looks at how to avoid another tragic five years: risk-monger.com/2024/04/02/wis…

This EU Commission has been a governance disaster. They've ignored the better regulation process.
Its weak-leadership-by-design structure has been a lost opportunity.
My wish list for the next European Commission looks at how to reform the reform process.
