An enraging, tragic catastrophe that will endanger the health and lives of millions. A right-wing Supreme Court and most Republican politicians have embraced the most extreme position on abortion - a position supported by only 15-20% of the public. Fuck these people.

This is a dark day for our nation. That we knew it was coming doesn't make it any easier. Because of this cruel, ill-conceived decision my daughters, and millions like them, will now have fewer rights than the generations before them. People will lose their lives.

With abortion rights gone, the nation may face its greatest crisis: large protests near Supreme Court Justices' homes.

A friend took his kids to July 4th Parade in Highland Park today. His son has special needs. When shots rang out, they ran for their lives, the dad pushing his grown son's wheelchair--which at one point tumbled over. On America's day, what has become a sickeningly American story.

Next time anyone talks about arming teachers, remember that today a guy waltzed into downtown Highland Park, shot more than 30 people, and then waltzed out. An entire armed police all around couldn't stop him. Heck, they still can't even find him.
