Being an artist is not something you choose, it’s who you are. Making a career out of your art is something you choose, it’s the decision you make.

Chase purpose not praise.

MUSICIANS: Stop looking up how old the artists you admire are. It DOES NOT MATTER! Your journey is YOUR OWN. Getting success too early can be a curse, we've all seen it. l used to constantly compare myself to how old different artists were, and it NEVER made me feel better.

You are not as good as you think you are. Don’t let your ego blind you from constantly learning and improving your craft.

Remember the “Creative Process” is a process. - a series of actions or operations conducing to an end. 1. Inspiration (enjoyable) 2. Initial flow state (enjoyable) 3. Refining your ideas (challenging) 4. Breaking through self-doubt and insecurities (challenging) 5.

Knowledge only turns into wisdom once it’s applied. “It is senseless to pay to educate a fool, since he has no heart for learning.” Proverbs 17:16

It ain’t even faith till your plan falls apart.

Comparison is the thief of joy. (and creative progress) Change comparison to inspiration and motivation. If you’re too busy watching someone else’s journey, you might lose your own way and crash.

Work like your life depends on it. Because it does.

A goal is a dream with a plan. Discipline, patience, and a continual drive to learn will take you to places talent alone could never.
