4 yrs ago my gf (now wife) took me to my first event where I watched Ilia Malinin and said "That's who you send to Beijing, give him the experience, invest in your future." How sad that 4 years later, someone who knew NOTHING about skating still knew more than U.S. Figure Skating.

Proud of how Ilia Malinin acted in the end. No one had more pressure on him, and for a 21-one-year old to show the poise and class he did in defeat made me proud. #Olympic2026

Also, while I'm at it, the #OlympicGames Ice Dance=travesty. It's a broken system when an event meant to reward excellence is hijacked by a petty French judge & a blind Spanish judge. Chock & Bates gave a gold medal skate. The world recognized it, and the judges let us all down.
