I don’t agree with many of Mamdani’s policies, but the guy is extremely well spoken, structures his arguments crisply, and does talk about real issues with real plans. I’m curious if his competence will lend itself to him course-correcting when v1 policies inevitably fail.

The most misguided thought in AI right now is that the jobs will be replaced once models get smart enough. Once the AI can solve any problem on the fly, no structure, with little context. In reality, most humans/organizations follow repeatable processes and AI is already there.
