In a few hours I’ll graduate with my MFA. Ive been feeling nonplussed about it, more stressed & anxious about my 2/3 finished book. But this morning my daughter woke me up ecstatic about the ceremony. She writes poetry herself & cant wait to meet my poet friends. Needed that.

Just turned in my first long form feature to the Seattle Times/Pacific NW Magazine. It’s light and fun — by no means hardhitting — but I really wrote the shit outta it and I’m excited to see it in print in about a month!
