Trump needs to have a bigger focus on raising wages by getting more workers in manufacturing, mining, or other production jobs by forcing those industries home. Auto exemptions and China deals don’t move industries. Almost a year, could have been action, but it was exempted.

If these AI data centers are truly as critical as everyone says they are, then they should not have foreign components in them.

1/5 Good Setser piece on rising global imbalances. Thanks in part to his work, central bankers and mainstream economists are slowly beginning to acknowledge that rising global imbalances can be a problem for the global economy. Eventually they all will. Brad Setser

“What we are going to do," Bessent continued, "is by bringing back high-paying manufacturing jobs, President Trump is going to do what he did in the first term. And that is for hourly workers and working Americans to have real wage increases."

Thanks Rep. John Moolenaar, you are a hero, but why don’t we have any stronger tools to stop this? For example, how does U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and Paul Atkins take no action to exclude U.S.-sanctioned and blacklisted Chinese companies from raising funds and being traded on our exchanges?
