DC's restaurant association RAMW is officially extending Summer Restaurant Week to Sunday, August 31, with over 120 places participating. The last time they extended it was last winter due to extreme weather.

Mr. President @realdonaldtrump I understand why you are confused...all your time in DC you haven't eaten ONCE outside the White House or your own hotel. I've lived here for 33 years, and it's a flat out lie that half the restaurants have closed because of safety...but restaurants

I’m Abigail Spanberger — a mom of 3 daughters in Virginia public schools, former federal agent, and former CIA case officer. I’m running for Governor to lower costs, strengthen our public schools, and keep our communities safe. Most importantly, I will always put Virginia first.

Congratulations to our Democratic statewide ticket that has swept Virginia and Speaker Don Scott for your new massive majority in the House of Delegates! We look forward to working with you to enact the change Virginians demanded tonight!

So proud of Virginia after last nights historic victory with Governor elect Abigail Spanberger and the whole democratic slate! Seeing Loudoun county (and all of Nova) shift further away from MAGA brings hope for the future. Congrats Virginia Democrats

Voting to reopen, having won nothing means the longest shutdown in US history was meaningless. It is abhorrent that it went as long as it did while not moving an inch on the singular issue that started it!

NEWS: An attempt to reverse the D.C. Council's move over the summer that partially repealed Initiative 82 has hit a significant and potentially fatal hurdle. A D.C. judge has ruled the D.C. Board of Elections improperly advanced a proposed referendum on the council's action.

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month. It’s about oil and regime change. And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from Epstein + skyrocketing healthcare costs.

By posting this, Trump is violating Article 13 of the Geneva Convention. It prohibits the use of media humiliation against PoWs. If Trump claims he isn’t a PoW and instead a criminal under US jurisdiction, then he’s violating multiple other domestic legal rights.

DC has shelter space for everyone who needs it. It’s going to get colder in DC in the next few days—this is your reminder that anyone can anonymously call the shelter hotline for free transportation to a safe, warm space. DC Shelter Hotline: (202) 399-7093

Stopped by Safeway to prepare for the storm, eggs/bread/milk/meat/bananas all cleared out. You know what there was plenty of? Spices, garlic, veggies, herbs, the international aisle, salt… DC about to have the most bland and disgusting food during this snow event. (But I won’t)

Washington D.C. and the surrounding areas right now are a perfect example (out of many!) of paying enormous taxes for very little in return. The aftermath of a single snow storm is an abomination. And the river is full of sewage.
