Financial people have to sound "reasonable" to be taken seriously but current financial, econ, political & geopolitical conditions are anything but reasonable &, if history is any guide, won't get resolved w/out many "unreasonable" consequences to the markets & societies.

And so it is w/correlations - As gold has been rising on phys demand fr CBs & Asia, the West has been a net seller. New marginal buyers don't care about "real rates" & aren't buying for a flip but for strategic reasons-independence+resilience. And that's how change happens
