Got interviewed about altmetrics last week and am *thrilled* that citation cartels made it into the article as an example that every system can be gamed. #altmetrics insidehighered.com/news/2022/09/1…

Great talk at #macmla2022 on #medlibs for community engagement for understanding and changing health disparities. (& a #theoreticalframework sighting: libraries as a mesosystem in ecological systems theory!)

Wow, thanks! It’s a tough but important topic to balance interoperability with representation (budget the time to both if you can!). AIAN is a problematic classification; remind patrons about the value of tribal consultation in data. So good to see JeSLIB highlight this!

Great Medical Library Assn talk by Michael Upshall (consultmu.co.uk) Included something like, "I'm not sure if the algorithm is the problem. I think it's more frequently the corpus which has the bias, which the algorithm simply reveals."

Today’s nih #datasharing webinar was really informative. #medlibs and #datalibs might want to check the slides (or later the recording) for December 24th at sharing.nih.gov/about/learning. Good insights from the IC program staff on Plans submitted so far!
