Today, I joined the resident’s of Mogadishu protests opposing Ethiopia's infringement on Somalia's sovereignty and territorial integrity. I strongly implore all Somali nationals, irrespective of their residence, to participate in similar demonstrations.

I recently engaged in a meeting with His Excellency Pier Mario Daccò Coppi, the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, at the Mogadishu City Town Hall. Our discussions centered on potential collaboration avenues and the restoration of Italian properties in Mogadishu.

I attended an event where His Excellency Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, presented awards to the top seven participants of the Quran recitation competition.

Congratulations to the 11th Somali Federal Parliament on their significant accomplishment in ratifying the four amended chapters of the constitution. A robust constitution facilitates the amplification of citizens' voices and ensures their representation.

I hosted an honorary dinner for members of both houses of parliament who successfully achieved approval for the amended four chapters of the constitution. The Prime Minister and other significant federal government entities of Somalia were in attendance.

I recently convened with His Excellency Alper Aktaş, the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, to engage in substantive discussions regarding enhancing the collaboration between our respective institutions.

Today, I hosted a meeting at the Mogadishu Metropolitan Municipality HQ with the Minister of Internal Security, the Director of the NISA, and the Somali Police Commissioner. We discussed decentralizing Benadir security for better regional security and accountability.

I welcomed His Excellency Mr. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, the new Minister of Interior, Federalism, and Reconciliation, at the Mogadishu City HQ. We focused on collaborating to establish the Mogadishu City Council, implementing institutional priorities, and strengthening our partnership

Today, I chaired a meeting at Mogadishu Municipality HQ with Benadir region commanders from NISA and the police. We discussed enhancing Mogadishu's security and heard their insights on the city's safety

I recently met with the Chairman of the Somali National Disaster Management at Mogadishu Metropolitan Municipality HQ, to discuss upcoming rain risks and improve aid distribution in Mogadishu..

I extend my congratulations to all Somali laborers on this World Labour Day. I commend the hard work of the staff of Mogadishu Metropolitan Municipality and Benadir region in serving and developing Mogadishu city, and urge them to redouble their efforts.

On April 30, 2024, I hosted an honorary dinner at Pearl Beach in Mogadishu for young volunteers who diligently clean the city's beaches. I expressed my gratitude for their outstanding commitment to preserving and enhancing their City.

Today, I have initiated a congenital heart disease treatment program, in collaboration with Madaale Foundation and Red-sea Hospital, in the presence of the State Minister of Health for the Federal Republic of Somalia and other key stakeholders.
