Crying in sujood to Allah at ur lowest point where u lower urself in front of Allāh and let ur heart spill out to him is one of the most calming thing ever. There's this peaceful feeling u get after crying to Him. Tears are blessings. Being able to cry to Allah swt is a blessing.

A very important point that a person should recognise is that sins have consequences in this life before the next one. The constant anxiety that you can't seem to shift, a delay in your rizq, tension between you and those you love, loss of barakah in your time and so on.

Perhaps you were at the cusp of an answered dua or at the opening of a major blessing but because of a sin you did a great distance and blockage came between you and that which was meant for you. Seldom do we ponder on our sins and their consequences.

The salaf were so close to Allah and so in tune with themselves that they would notice a difference in their spouses behaviour towards them or a difference in their horse or riding beast and they would link that to a sin that they committed. سبحان الله

When you seek sincere forgiveness from your sins then it is as though you did not sin as the messenger عليه السلام said. And when you seek forgiveness then the sin is removed as well as its consequences. Constant seeking forgiveness is so important.
