For those of you that can't get enough of those dogs - the Yukon Quest 300 starts tonight at 5pm, from the starting gate on the Chena River.

Warm and breezy on the river. A bit of excitement with a car on fire on First Avenue. But not as exciting as a dog race!

The handlers and volunteers are on the river discussing the start, lots of Carhartt in evidence. 10 minutes until race start.

The Yukon Quest cabin on First Avenue is the communications center for the race, the local amateur radio group provides support.
