Group members attended SWRMACS in Waco, Texas. Chenxin and the trio — Samantha, Jackson Lancaster and Aaron gave two poster presentations, respectively. Yuanning Feng gave a talk.

Visiting the University of North Texas and The University of Texas at Dallas and having great discussions with Professors Shengqian Ma@UNT (UNT Department of Chemistry), Ron Smaldone and Jeremiah @Gassensmith (UT Dallas Chemistry). Thanks for hosting me with kindness!

This year, my Advance Organic Chemistry course has more (13) PhD students with diverse background from various departments (OUChemBiochem Oklahoma ChE). They discussed their pocket posters on different topics and gave feedbacks (peer-reviewing) instead of having the mid-term exam.

I enjoyed my dinner hosting Prof Peter Stang (Utah Chemistry). We shared fun stories from recent to childhood, found people who we both like and shown photos of great memory. When Fraser Stoddart called in, we’re all happy to chat with each other. It’s an unforgettable evening.

Prof Peter Stang (Utah Chemistry) received the distinguished Karcher Honorary Lectureship at OUChemBiochem University of Oklahoma. His talk entitled Abiological Self-Assembly: Predesigned Metallacycles and Metallacages via Coordination shows beautiful chemistry and is truly inspirational.

Group meeting with Prof Peter Stang who was invited by Yuanning Feng for the Karcher Honorary Lecture. He is so kind and humorous, and it was great to hear him share so many stories. Thanks for coming to OUChemBiochem!

Many thanks to Fiona for the privilege of delivering my tribute on the special day. I faltered at the end, overwhelmed by emotion, trying to hold back tears. I thought it was not ideal, but Alyssa Avestro, PhD said that is what made it perfect. Goodbye, Edinburgh. Goodbye, my dear Fraser!

I’m excited to join Foresight Institute new Nanotech Fast Grants as an advisor. The focus is on fast turnaround of small grant amounts to help frontier molecular nanotechnology ideas and projects get off the ground. If that’s you, I encourage you to apply here: foresight.org/bio-nano-grant…

Thrilled to share our Nature Synthesis paper on a compact catenane with tuneable chirality! Honored to have worked with Fraser (Fraser Stoddart), whose inspiration and support guide us and live on. doi.org/10.1038/s44160…

New group photos at OUChemBiochem Stephenson Life Sciences Research Center. We celebrate the graduation of undergrads Joseph Studebaker, Jackson Lancaster, Jennifer Ou and Kade Littlefield. We also welcome new postdoc Xuanfu Zhu and undergraduates Meiling Wade and Maham Saeed.
