Can we talk about the terminology “cancer survivors”? It usually implies that people had curative, earlier stage cancers and are now living “life after cancer”. The rest of us are “cancer patients” Sorry, not sorry, ppl w advanced cancers are survivors too

Great data for first line, options that were not available to me 2.5 yrs ago. Big Q for me, how do I work with my onc team to make sure we hit these persister cells post-1st line? So many of us looking at this data going “ugh, missed opportunities for us!”

It is unfortunate that the biennial Canadian Cancer Research Conference is no longer hybrid. As someone on disability, I certainly can’t afford the 4 digit price tag. Hybrid would have been a great gesture of commitment to inclusion. Canadian Partnership Against Cancer

A letter from Josh, 46 years old, on dying. I need you to understand something. Not because I want sympathy. Because I need to stop being alone in this. I am dying. Not tomorrow. Not today. But this disease is trying to kill me, and I live with that fact every single minute.

Why do we put so much pressure on ourselves that the only way to “make memories” requires an airplane? Started Qigong lately - gratitude and being present has really helped ground me. Make memories every moment.

#Lungcancer doesn’t follow the rules, but screening guidelines still do. Study from Ankit Bharat, MD FACS et al Northwestern Medicine shows that 65% of ppl Dx w LC wouldn’t have qualified for screening - a gap we can’t ignore. Women & ppl w no tobacco most impacted. jamanetwork.com/journals/jaman…
