We have began the year by learning from Digital Earth Africa and acquiring tools in order to come up with flood extent maps for Chikwawa and Nsanje. With the assistance of The Open Mapping Hub-Eastern & Southern Africa Hub, we are working on this project with Malawi Red Cross Society and @NkhomaUniversity. #Impactmapping #OSM

The largest mapathon workshop ever held in Malawi kept us quite busy throughout the weekend. The entire Chikwawa district was mapped by four Universities with more than 80 students through #openmappinggrant The Open Mapping Hub-Eastern & Southern Africa Hub Zikomo❤ NKHOMA University, LUARNAR, CHANCO, and MUST.
