I was pleased to wish farewell to a patient after 5 years of care Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for #acanthamoeba infection. She got the infection from a tap water from a garden hose pipe whilst wearing contact lenses! Her vision is reduced but good & she has chronic controlled neuralgic pain.
More isn’t always better, but it certainly is when it comes to the transplanted corneal endothelial cell number in DMEK surgery for #FuchsDystrophy OCL Vision
Great to see our OCL Vision eye drop reminder app getting some well deserved media attention healthtechdigital.com/london-eye-cli… Available on AppStore and Google Playstore. Useful for anyone taking regular eye medication 👁
#blepharitis and meibomian gland dysfunction are very common problems that lead to dry eye and can cause chronic problems. #Blephex lid hygiene is a very helpful treatment similar to seeing a dental hygienist every year to keep the lids in good condition. OCL Vision
The last corneal transplant before Xmas! The gift of sight may be one of the greatest gifts one can give - tissue donation changes lives and leaves a lasting legacy. Wishing you all a peaceful festive season and much happiness in 2022. #organdonation Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust OCL Vision

Impressive results with the EndoArt artificial corneal endothelium in this complex case where 3 previous endothelial tissue transplants failed. Vision improved from hand movements to 6/24 in 48 hours. Promising technology for the treatment of #Fuchsdystrophy OCL Vision
CAIRS - corneal allogeneic Intrastromal ring segments, a natural tissue addition technique is a game changer in the management of #keratoconus patients with poor vision. Can be used before or after cross linking and can avoid need for transplants OCL Vision
