We loved visiting the brilliant pupils at Grange Academy last week!

Over the weekend, Team Scotland competed in the second annual Thistle Cup. This was an extremely competitive tournament, with over a dozen national teams taking part. After an excellent final against Korea, Scotland was declared the WINNER of the Thistle Cup! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💪

WSDC 2024 DRAW 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿📢 Our first two opponents and topics at the World Championships are predetermined. In round 1, we will face Qatar, opposing the motion 'This House Supports strict state secularism in Western Liberal Democracies'.......

In round 2, we will face Hungary, proposing the motion 'This House Prefers A World where Truth and Reconciliation Commissions were established to deal with the aftermath of the Yugoslav Wars rather than the ICTY.' We can't wait!

Thank you to all the schools that joined us for our practice day on Saturday. This was a great way to start what is sure to be a busy year of debating. We can't wait to see your speakers in action at our workshops and competitions!
