This is so true… I’m no expert in quantum but the more I find good resources, the more I realize how wrong my previous understanding was. It isn’t even that difficult to grasp if presented right… just counterintuitive.

The fact people try so hard to pretend like some new thing is killing Perplexity is just proof that Perplexity is winning. Your random prompts are no match for the masterpiece the Perplexity engineers have created.

Maybe one day, but we’ll need harder questions. I did this one in my head. The biggest barrier to doing this will be finding problems an agent can definitely do but a human definitely cannot. I’m not quite sure what kind of site you’d need to protect from humans, though.

I think there is a good chance China severely damages their intellectual capacity doing this. It’s like the US public schools giving all of the kids iPads. It won’t actually create smarter and better educated students.

This is big news. I can’t believe JavaScript is going to get fixed just before programming dies. The framework wars are on the verge of being over, just before they fade into irrelevance. Poetic.

Everyone says “never bet against Elon” and then when Elon uses the same techniques he used at his other successful companies (SpaceX also has no researchers), everyone is convinced that suddenly NOW he’s gone too far. He literally just rebranded a job title. It’s not that deep.

Looking through both lists, I am genuinely appalled at how bad they both are. Mathematicians? They are going to be super important for decades. Jobs handling hazardous materials? We are going to get rid of those as soon as possible. How did they conclude the inverse?

Reading this has convinced me beyond a shadow of a doubt that Elon is completely justified in getting rid of “researcher” as a job title at xAI

I wish I could set up a rule in my inbox to automatically block all universities trying to send me promo emails if their average SAT is three or more standard deviations lower than mine. Comet is this something you guys will be able to handle?

To the contrary. It has never been easier to access or digest knowledge from the past than it it today. “You have betrayed yourself for nothing” if you avoid them.

If we get Grok 5, Claude 5, and l Llama 5 this year after GPT-5, all of the major labs (minus Google) would end up converging on version numbers!

Lab grown meat will NOT be biologically identical to animal meat when it first hits the shelves and it is very possible that, despite our best efforts, it never will be.

The real question isn't whether cloud seeding works (it does). It's whether we'll let fear-driven panic hand yet another technological advantage to China while fear and misinformation write the rules. Rainmaker Technology Corporation is working to keep that advantage here.
