Last week, Mohansic 3rd graders capped off their study of butterfly life cycles by releasing monarchs they raised in class. Watching the butterflies take flight was a memorable moment — especially as these students prepare to spread their own wings and head to Crompond next year!

Congratulations to junior Hunter Mezzatesta on being appointed the first-ever ex officio student member of the Yorktown CSD Board of Education! Joining him in leadership is sophomore Luke Evangelista, who will serve as alternate throughout the 2025-26 school year.

This morning, Crompond fifth graders shared their international research projects with families! Students in the classes of Hyndman/Manganelli and Daly/Sassano worked in teams to study countries around the globe and present their findings on colorful posterboards. Great job!

Meet Mason and Milo, our Superintendents for the Day! After receiving badges and a warm welcome from HR, the Brookside students jumped into action, tackling important issues from pizza toppings to recess equipment. With help from Dr. Hattar, they even got a few changes in motion!

Last week, Crompond 5th graders in Ms. Brennan’s class hosted a Career Fair, sharing research on jobs from space exploration to the culinary arts. As part of this ESTEAM lesson, they created inventions to improve their fields. Other classes stopped by to learn more!
