Apparently tonight was The Howl & The Hum's biggest ever show. The new line up has really gelled. A thought occurred to me when listening to sweet fading silver. With the sax and the lyric about cars is there a Springsteen influence in there? Leeds Irish Centre

Enjoyable set from #mariefranc Grayston Unity. Reminded me a little of 10000 maniacs.

An amazing set from Dilettante Grayston Unity. Uncatergorisable, melodic and engaging. I'm genuinely shocked that they aren't playing to much bigger audiences. Hopefully that will change soon.

Well done Mrs windbag getting us tickets to see Michael Kiwanuka Nath Brudenell. Not seen him since quidrophenia at oporto. He's moved on a bit since then. His set was strippedback & full of great tunes old and new.

Due to traffic issues only caught the last 2 songs of #SolEdwards Lending Room. He sounded good tho

The usual marvelous set from Admiral Fallow Lending Room Plenty of old classics and a couple of interesting sound new numbers. Brudenell Presents

Enjoyed #billynomates Hyde Park Book Club tonight. Brudenell Presents

Tonight's support Dana Gavanski had a structured set Starting with sad piano ballads. Then moving onto sad guitar ballads. It finished with a sad electropop song. As a big of fan of sad songs I really enjoyed it. Most of the audience also seemed to appreciate it. Leeds Irish Centre

A great set of catchy rock numbers from Katy J Pearson Leeds Irish Centre interlaced by a handful of quiet folk songs

I can't think of many more natural frontmen who've played @bodyswakefield than the singer from about-faces (including james from yard act). The band were all great performers with a strong set and plenty of energy.

Tonight's opening act O2 Academy Leeds are the #thefleshtones a band from NYC who debuted at cbgbs in 1976. I've heard the name but knew nowt about them. They played trashy camp garage rock. For fans of the ramones, cramps and the nuggets compilation.

Talking of camp next support was #drandthemedics. A blast from the past. First time I saw them was playing with the damned at nostell priory back in 84. O2 Academy Leeds

The first gig I ever went to way back in 81 was The Damned I was delighted to have an opportunity to see the sensible scabies vanian gray line up once more They didn't let me down O2 Academy Leeds with a brilliant performance (Monty was good as well)

A typically chaotic Xmas gig from Hope and Social Nath Brudenell

Nice to hear Hamish Hawk 's new stuff with a full band Performance Venues. Went down very well with the crowd

Tonight's support act was Bernard Butler BarrowHillRoundhouse. To be honest the sound wasn't brilliant and there was a tall annoying prick stood right in front of me. But his playing and singing were fine. Extra marks for his post set announcement about a badly parked car.

Tonight's headliner was richardhawley BarrowHillRoundhouse It was the usual classic set with the occasional dad joke thrown in.
