The Old Lamp Room since opening in 2020 at #Cottingham station. The before and after photos show how the former disused old lamp room has been transformed into a vibrant cafe which has become a destination with its quirky character and delicious locally sourced food.

200 years ago on the 27th September 1825 Locomotion No. 1 pulled wagons and coaches from Shildon to Stockton on the first steam-hauled fare-paying passenger journey on a public railway. This 26-mile trip transformed how the world traded and travelled. #Railway200

Following on from our Barrow Boy statue, made by local sculptor Stephen Carvill and installed on Bridlington station last year. There is a chapter in the book about the creation of the statue. Thank you to all who came to the launch and to all who helped make this happen.
