The Trust is delighted to a blue plaque unveiling 🙌 The Trust's membership selected clock and scientific instrument maker, Henry Hindley of York to get a blue plaque. The unveiling will be mid-morning on Thursday 26th September, and at 62 Low Petergate!

Exciting news! A new York Civic Trust stained-glass #blueplaque honoring Laurence Sterne is now at Oliver Bonas, 35 Stonegate. This spot marks where his novel 'Tristram Shandy' was first published in 1759. The plaque replaces the one damaged in 2022. @blueplaquebot #YorkHistory
