York Birding 26/08/24 Copmanthorpe 17:30, 3 Swifts flying around a bit higher than the House Martins. Also, 7 swallows seen at Moor Lane Stables.
A Merlin tonight in Barton le willows. Also a pair of Hobby’s at the weekend … very exciting for a farmer trying to increase the wildlife yields 😃. York Birding

Kingfishers are being reported regularly around the reserve at present - particularly at Pool Hide on Wheldrake Ings, where birds have been showing well infront of the hide on the rails provided by our team of volunteers York Birding

Plenty of chiffchaff in Knapton. At least 10 in this one tree. Willow warb and swallow still around, with a single whitethroat. The hunt for a patch flycatcher continues. York Birding
