Yesterday (10 March) the country's flags were flown at half-mast to honour the late Cde PC Jones. A category 2 provincial funeral was granted by government. They had no choice but to recognise PC as a 'distinguished person' for his contribution to the liberation of this country.

Contemporaries and founders of the BCM travelled from across the country, to pay their last respects to a fellow revolutionary. Barney Pityana, Prof Saths Cooper, Bishop Malusi Mpumlwana, Dr Mamphela Ramphele are among those who delivered moving and honest tributes to honour PC.

In the form of Nkosinathi Biko, Steve Biko was present to bid farewell to his friend and comrade - the last person to him (Biko) alive. In this #ReunionWithBiko, PC was remembered as a selfless cadre of the movement - an embodiment of Black love.
