I don’t have much to say about the Black Adam movie (it was fine, didn’t rouse my soul), but why does the kid in it remind me of the McLovin actor, the mom remind me of Tomb Raider, and Noah Centineo’s character give me the vibe of a discount Spider-Man/Ant-Man/Hulk hybrid?

What’s with people who take phone calls on speaker in public places? If their phone’s broken so that’s the only way they can hear callers, I get it. Otherwise… how are they so ok with zero privacy? How does the caller feel about it? And why do they think we want to hear it?🥲🥹

Was watching a cooking show on netflix⁷ and one of the contestants was Kurdish. It made me think of the book "Kiss The Dust" by Elizabeth Laird, which I read when I was around 10. That book moved me deeply and was one that made me LOVE reading. Maybe time to re-read it, 27 years later!

Very sad to hear about the passing of #CocoLee - I hadn’t kept up with her work, but her name instantly took me back to my teens, when she was one of the first faces I saw in popular global media that looked like me. It meant a lot to a half-Taiwanese kid in the 90s. May she RIP.
