In our Smart School Councils meeting today, we discussed how we can celebrate our acheivements. Our votes were mixed this week, with some explaining its good to rest after working so hard, whilst others thought helping others is the right thing to do. 🤔

Year 3 had a fantastic morning with Guy Bass at the library. We loved hearing Guy's incredibly funny poems, as well as a part of Stitch Head! Thank you! #RPEnrichment #RPEnglish 📚😆✍️

This afternoon, we had another fantastic Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) CIC play afternoon with our families. We had fun building, climbing and creating amongst tonnes of other activities! We love our OPAL opportunities! 🛝☀️⚽️🏗️

In Computing, we have been making video trailers for Little Red Riding Hood. We used different camera angles to change perspectives, and used iMovie to edit our images together with transitions, voiceovers, sound effects, text boxes and more. #RPComputing 📽️ Kapow Primary

Today in Picture News, we discussed donating and how this can be a powerful way to show we care. Some of us shared with the class how we have donated in the past, and one child explained that donating things we no longer need or want is a way to support people who need them more.

Yesterday we had an amazing time on our Tough Runner Sports Day! We climbed, balanced, crawled and got muddy in lots of ways. Year 3 were so resilient and persevered when it got tough! #RPEnrichment 🏅

We had such a great first swimming lesson yesterday. We practiced floating and swimming with a float to support us. Everyone in Year 3 had a great time and we are all so excited for next week's lesson! 🏊🥽 #RPEnrichment

For World Environment Day, we were visited by the incredible Teach Rex 🦖 who brought an orangutan and some baby animals to our school! We played games and had the chance to hold them whilst learning about conservation. #RPEnrichment 🐒🦜🌎

In todays Smart School Councils meeting, we discussed how we can be proud of our school. Our winning vote was to treat each other with respect. Year 3 were great at using the British Values of democracy in our session.

In our Kapow Primary DT unit we are sewing cushions. Today we worked hard to attach our applique and our next steps are to sew the two pieces together and add our filling. #RPDT

In our second swimming lesson today, we did front crawl and back stroke. We had lots of resilient children developing more and more confidence in the pool. Fantastic work, Year 3! #RPEnrichment 🏊

Yesterday we had a great session with Rocksteady Music School where some of us became rock stars in less than 10 minutes! Year 3 all loved the electric drums and the electric guitar the most and some of us are going to be learning how to play these instruments too! #RPEnrichment 🎸🥁👩‍🎤

Today in our Picture News session we discussed how animals can stay happy and healthy in zoos. Children suggested being given food and water, as well as care, love, entertainment, space and chance to make friends. 🐒🦓

Last week, we won a class mini-disco in our Inclusive Attendance Ltd. Classopoly Board. We had some treats, as well as a boogie in class. Year 3 are great dancers! Thank you Roby Park Primary School ! #RPEnrichment 💃🕺🪩🧁

Today we completed our solar oven experiment in Science. We managed to melt chocolate in the sun and even had a little taste too! Our predictions were correct! 💭☀️🍫 Developing Experts #RPScience
