In our Grow in Love Religion programme @CappaghParish we have been learning all about Our Church. We went and visited our local church Christ the King and found out all about what can be found inside including statues, altar, tabernacle, paschal candle to name but a few.

Year 1 participate in Sports Day 2025 at Healy Park Omagh Omagh St Endas GAA. We had lots of fun taking part in all the races.

We have enjoyed learning all about Minibeats throughout our topic of In the Secret Garden. We explored facts in non-fiction books, recorded facts and created illustrations using Just 2 Easy Just2easy 🚀 . We enjoyed taking part in lots of learning activities.

Congratulations to Finn who received Highly Commended in the Art & Design Competition at the West Tyrone Feis. Well done Finn, we are so proud of you.

Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed a lovely treat of ice-cream from a Year 1 parent for all our hard work throughout the year. We want to say a big thank you to Sean for the delicious ice-cream. It tasted yummy. Thank You.

We took part in fun, practical Numeracy dice games to help us work hard and practise the concept of addition. We can now combine sets and write addition sums using the appropriate + and = symbols.

We commenced our new topic entitled "Under the Sea." Today we used Green Screen DoInk Tweets to take a virtual trip under the sea.

Year 1 enjoyed their end of year school trip to see St Oliver Plunkett’s PS Production of Frozen Jr in Beragh. The children all had a wonderful time and enjoyed singing along. What an exciting day was had by all.

We are really enjoying taking part in lots of fun activities based on our topic of Under the Sea.

We enjoyed using Green a screen DoInk Tweets to take a boat trip on the sea. We had so much fun.

We enjoyed using Green Screen DoInk Tweets to create our own rendition of the song entitled “Down in the Deep Blue Sea”. We had so much fun recreating this scene of being on our boat at sea.

We had a wonderful award ceremony to celebrate all the achievements of the children at Sports Day. All the children enjoyed a special treat for Mrs Darcy for their participation. Thank you. YUM YUM!

Under the Sea - Play Based Learning.

Year 1 have been working very hard on the concept of subtraction. Here they are taking part in fun and interactive taking away games and activities.

During our music lesson we have had lots of fun working with sound. We explored different ways to play percussion instruments and we began to look at tempo and dynamics.
