Effecting International Public Health Policies 🏨 As a member organisation of LCN, AHF Lesotho held a discussion on the World Health Organization (WHO) Pandemic Agreement which aims to improve prevention, preparedness & response to future pandemics at a global level.
World Health Organization (WHO) The discussions were held at Parliament in collaboration with CSOs within the Health, Education and Social Development Commission of LCN under the Save Our Society Campaign. The Campaign aims to address discrepancies within the WHO Pandemic Agreement before its finalisation.
World Health Organization (WHO) Some of the issues discussed were: - The high focus on pharmaceutical interests - Lack of health product guarantees - Calls for independent oversight - Calls for the involvement of civil society in the drafting of the Agreement #GlobalHealthCare #PublicHealth #CivilSociety
