The importance of personal therapy for therapists has to do with the need for therapists to have strong enough/integrated egos to avoid enactments. In plain language, the therapists emotional responses can tend to reinforce patients defenses and prevent change.

Basic questions that might not always be easy to answer: What do I want? How do I feel? Why do I feel this way? How do I know why I feel this way?

Probably important to recognize the format here is disposed to adolescent immaturity. We’re “following” in groups, “liking” with little red hearts, and performing for an audience. It’s a gossipy hallway by the lockers outside homeroom. Mature interaction may take some effort.

On a different note, it appears the new Senate Reconciliation bill will make priceless, one-of-a-kind, irreplaceable natural wonders like Ice Lake Basin in Colorado open for potential sale. 3mil acres of these areas will have to be sold.

My impression is when I’m “talking to myself,” this is psychologically analogous to talking to a phantasy of another person (not myself at all). Children do this when they have imaginary friends. The experience is very pertinent then to internal representation of others.

Interpersonal contact is achieved when people have emotional reactions to each other. These can be any kind of emotions. “Relationship” does not imply feeling good all the time. It implies the full range of emotions.
