My experience migrating to TypeScript as a library author. Day 1: Fine, I guess this will help out my consumers. Day 10: Hey, this is actually kinda useful for me too. Day 100: Wow, how did I ever live without types?

Also, React is based on this model: ui = fn(state) which is wrong. It should be: (ui, effects) = fn(state) But it's not, which is why the React ecosystem is so fragmented with many different ways of backfilling that missing part. Elm got this right.

Also, nothing should be framework-specific. Always go for the framework-agnostic solution. Resist writing code just to "make it work" with a framework. It's a problem with the framework, not your code. Basically stop asking "but is it concurrent-mode safe?"

In master, we added support for record label renaming to map records to Js objects precisely, which opens a door to bindings in more native fashion. You can also use our optimized pattern match compiler to process js object (see the pic for excitement) #bucklescript
