Yes indeed, it's very real. Islam is by far the most fundamentally evil of the three Abrahamic religions. Islamic states oppress women in ways that would make colonial Europe blush. I despise all religions but Islam has a special place at the bottom of that list.

“Freedom of speech isn’t freedom from consequences” is a tyranny dog whistle. Taking that logic to its conclusion, free speech doesn’t exist, as the government can enact “consequences”. The only consequences for speech of any kind (besides real threats) should be other speech.
