Yabbies did an excellent job with Big Writing. This week we focused on incorporating embedded clauses and fronted adverbials to make our writing more vivid and engaging.

Yabbies are creating an instructional text for how to make a bouncy egg! We created a success criteria to ensure our texts are effective. No we just have to wait 24hours to see if they bounce!

Ahoy, Me Hearties! Can you find the treasure! The Yabbies have been creating grid maps and exploring positional and directional language. Today we are applying these skills to write clear directions to locate the treasure. We’re gonna be rich!

Exploring different perspectives through hot seating, based on a great animation titled ‘Monkey Symphony’. Tomorrow we will be writing a dairy entry from one of the characters perspectives.

The Yabbies are blowing me away with their coding skills. Collaboration is in full swing. Can’t wait to share our work with Stage 1.

Wow! Stage 2 have done an amazing job with their PBL products. Today we’re doing a gallery walk to test each other’s games and provide specific feedback and feedforward. We’ll use this valuable feedback to finalise our products next week. GoannasCPS2021

The Yabbies and Stage 2 did an incredible job creating numeracy based educational games for Stage 1. Today they shared their projects to students from Stage 1. It was an absolute blast! So proud of all their hard work, collaboration and resilience during the PBL journey.

What a great start to the term. The Yabbies have been learning about quadrilaterals and regular and irregular polygons in maths this week. We have also been reflecting on our PBL journey, learning our aboriginal culture and our shared history, and setting new learning goals.

Thanks to all our wonderful experts who provided their expertise and time today for Stage 2’s culminating event. The students did a fantastic job. Can’t wait to see these ideas in action.

This week, the Yabbies have been delivering a range of meaningful and engaging experiences for K-2 students to celebrate Harmony Week. So far we've had origami, music, language and cultural mapping activities. They've been absolutely incredible! More amazing experiences to come!

Today is Mabo Day and the final day of National Reconciliation Week. It’s been an incredible experience deepening our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories and making a commitment to actions we can take as individuals and a community.

A huge thank you to Oliver Costello for his fantastic talk today with Stage 2. It was incredible to learn about his expert knowledge on cultural burning and the ways he is helping to build cultural learning pathways to care for and heal Country. Camdenville Public
