In science, year 2 made their own recycled paper! 📃♻️We made the paper pulp this morning and then spread it out evenly and flattened it this afternoon. Hopefully it’ll dry overnight so we can see if it has really worked! 🤞🏼

In computing, we practiced using the camera app on the iPads to film a video. We are making videos to share the message ‘zip it, block it, flag it’ to remind us how to stay safe on the internet!

We practised writing the letter f today in cursive. It required lots of concentration and perseverance ✏️

We had lots of fun doing activities with magical maths today!

Our English working wall! We have been looking at lots of grammar features in this unit, in particular expanded noun phrases, conjunctions and adverbs. This week, we are going to begin planning and writing our own narrative using The Great Explorer to inspire our writing 📝

We have all had a super day at the Deep today!! We are just departing so will be arriving back at school for 3:30. I’m sure you will hear lots about our exciting day! 🌊🐟🐠

In Geography this week, we practiced locating landmarks and wonders of the world using independent research skills 🌍

In Maths we have started our unit on length and height 📏 we will continue to focus on comparing lengths using our understanding of centimetres and metres alongside vocabulary words such as longer, shorter and taller
