What I have learned this week is that: .NET 7 is damn fast! The C# version is within 10% of the performance of the C++ version, sometimes faster (even 15% faster on ARM!). It shows that you can write very competitive data oriented code with C# these days, with a very fast JIT! 😎

I've tried out the crossplatform intrinsic APIs in .NET 7 for the first time, they're *so* nice! @[email protected] and team did an amazing job here, the APIs are super friendly and the codegen's great! Also, trivia: can you spot the (small) JIT codegen issue here? 😄 #csharp #dotnet

Yesterday, I observed a 33% out-of-the-box performance improvement in Akka.NET 's single remote connection end-to-end benchmark using .NET 7.0 with PGO enabled. Very impressive. Today I ran our in-memory benchmarks w/ PGO and the results are even more interesting! #dotnet
