Hidden among the hills between Korishë and Kabash (Prizren), this ancient church dates back to the 5th–6th century. 🇦🇱 We already built beautiful churches before Serbs arrived the Balkans. What a feeling to walk where early Christians once gathered at this sacred place.

📍Lastovo Island (Croatia), anciently Ladesta/Ladeston, may be related to Alb. ledh ("earth wall") + suffix -sht(ë) (as in vreshtë). Modern Alb. has ledhishtë ("fenced land, ramparts") with Slavic suffix -ishtë, possibly reflecting Slavic reshaping of an older Albanian form.

The Saxon Church (St. Peter's Basilica) was a Catholic Church built by Saxons in the 13th century and used primarily by the Catholic Albanian population near Mitrovica. Miraculously, it is was not converted by Serbs. So, one of the oldest churches in Mitrovica is not Serbian.
