We are beginning to see some flurries and light snow work its way into the area from the west. This is expected to continue into early this afternoon with snowfall totals expected to be less than inch most places with highest amounts to the SW. #NYwx #CTwx #NJwx

3:05pm: Temperatures are beginning to fall in the NYC metro with Central Park now at 34 degrees and 33 degrees at the Bronx NY Mesonet site. There may be a brief lull in the snowfall in the next hour before the steadier and heavier snow develops this evening.
