I still don't understand the Boatworks Ishmael controversy because i thought it was clear from Season 1 that Identities aren't costumes like other gacha's. They're a variation of the characters with other, sometimes better skills. Why would anyone expect Ishmael in a swimsuit?

I get that the S.E.A. Intervallo was the "beach episode" but it's already made clear in the trailer that they're gonna be fighting giant crabs in a bunch of trash. Plus Molar Boatworks Ishmael is a harpooner. I would expect a harpooner to have swim gears appropriate for the job.
