Apple defends this by saying they will take back your AirPods and recycle them, but the data shows no one uses that service. Part of addressing global warming is going to be changing the culture from disposing of technology to maintaining and repairing it.

Iv'e been saying this for a looong time. It's infuriating that Apple has done zero effort to make the new AirPods Pro repairable but the salt to the wound is that their batteries aren't consumer replaceable. Or at the very least realistically serviceable by a repair technician.
