Wysing Arts Centre is delighted to announce a new partnership with Para Site, Hong Kong. The 2024/25 Wysing x Para Site resident artists will be C&G, a Sheffield-based artist duo formerly based in Hong Kong where they founded the artspace C&G Artpartment.

Wysing's 11-acre grounds are open between 9.30am–5.30pm Monday to Friday and are perfect for peaceful summer walks! The site is teaming with wildlife, from wild orchids to rabbits and owls. A barn owl was captured on film recently by Residency Programme artist Georgia Gendall!

This month, 24/25 Residency artist Hannan Jones has been at Wysing ✨ Jones is an artist working across sculpture, sound, moving image and performance. Her current research expands hybridity, language, and rhythms associated with cultural and social migration.

Over the last few months Residency artist Alastair Kwan has been spending a few days at Wysing each week. “During my residency, I’m working on a new commission called ‘8 Bottle’, where I am growing bottle gourds for the first time on a 5 x 5m square patch of lawn at Wysing."

24/25 Residency artist Georgia Gendall has been spending time at Wysing throughout July & August. Gendall uses event structures, sculptures, performance, video and social practice to celebrate & disrupt contexts to embody queerness & unravel preconceptions of the rural as idyll.

In June, Residency artist Bella Milroy took part in an online residency, as part of Wysing’s ongoing partnership with Vital Capacities. Bella, alongside several other artists, have now been included in their new exhibition! View their work here: vitalcapacities.com/exhibition
