OTD In 1991: Bangladesh was bracing for Tropical Cyclone 2B. As the cyclone barreled up the Bay of Bengal, over 100,000 fled to shelters. Ferocious 146 mph winds and a 20ft surge ravaged the coast for 9 hrs, claiming 140,000 lives. The world rallied to aid. #WeatherHistory
