A special day in Dorchester as ⁦Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭⁩ and Fire Commissioner Paul Burke opened up a newly constructed Firehouse on historic Meetinghouse Hill. At the site they dedicated a memorial for the late Marie Conley a traffic supervisor who lost her life while saving a child.

Congress St. has reopened in an interim condition for pedestrians and cars headed north towards New Chardon St. We will talk with the developer and MBTA on next steps based on construction timelines and what best serves the needs of transit riders. Sudbury St. will stay two-way.

Late morning MBTA #RedLine commute Wollaston to Park: 24 minutes. On return, fellow evening commuter asked, “You timing the ride?” I said “Yes, 22 minutes from Park to Wollaston.” He responded, “Hmm, that’s almost twice as fast as before the shutdown.”Yes. Smoother and faster.

Alongside Mayor Michelle Wu 吳弭⁩, I was happy to announce more than $3 million to make climate resilience and energy efficiency upgrades to affordable homes right here at Mei Wah Village in Boston. This funding is part of a larger investment of $279 million for communities across America.

You'd never guess from the blitz of business attacks condemning Mayor Wu's property tax plan that the percent of taxes from commercial property will *DECLINE* in her plan-just not as much & with smaller tax hikes for Boston residents. My testimony massbudget.org/2024/07/16/tes… Michelle Wu 吳弭

Having the support of David Ortiz means the world to me. Big Papi has always represented the heart of our community & I’m honored by his endorsement. This is our city—together, we’ll keep making Boston a home for everyone.
