WTI in collaboration with DoEFCC, Mizoram and Wildlife Crime Control Bureau and supported by The Serenity Trust organised a workshop on wildlife article identification. 41 participants representing the Forest Manipur, Manipur Police, and Manipur Journalist Association participated in the workshop.

In Chikajhora #Assam, a hanging solar fence along the village periphery helps deter #elephant movement into the village. Managed by village volunteers called 'Baba Bandhus', the fence has been effective in saving both human & elephant lives. Read more: wti.org.in/projects/great…

#ForestMartyrsDay honours the bravery & sacrifices of India's Van Rakshaks. In June 2024, the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary fire claimed the lives of 6 frontline staff & injured 2 others. In their memory, WTI awarded a Scroll of Honour & provided addl. support to their families.

The training aims to enhance conflict management skills, particularly with big cats. Supported by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Chester Zoo
