Ok this is a bit harrowing but we do need to talk about it. You know this whole “why did the police ignore grooming” thing in the 2000s? Well I was a kid in the 2000s. I was born in 1996. And I want to talk about what society thought about “girls making bad choices” 🧵

A Christmas gift. Her debut novel was a hoot. I've been eyeing this one for a while, so I'm glad to finally have my hands on it.

I need a week off from everything so I can do a huge clean. Feel like throwing everything away and having a magazine home.

Been second-drafting the emotional climax part of my MS today. Can we talk about how mentally draining this aspect of writing can be? Here's a bit of it. Again, second draft (at least three more drafts to go until it reaches betas), so may not make final edit.

I see posts by fellow writers asking: What do you do when you're in a writing slump? I keep writing. If I bail on writing today, it's that much easier to bail on it tomorrow...and the day after, and so on. That's how I deal with it.
