The Cirque du Soleil it ain’t but the Great Benjamins Circus was a multi-generational treat under the big top, installed in Welland , ON, for just a few shows before dates in NY State, Penn. and Ohio in the weeks to come. ‘They work hard for the money…’.

Air Show in Toronto and Air Show Not in Welland. Definitely nice, however, to see gliders enjoying the sky over Welland in the Niagara Region.

Glider acrobatics? Not quite, but surprised to see a glider in the vertical for a moment over Welland. Quiet fun!

Congrats to overall Summer Shores winner Julius Mbufa who ran 16 minutes and change for 5k, a time I would have sought at his age. But now I am happy to go under 30 minutes, best time in old folks (75+) category.

Thumbing through the first scrapbook I put together as a kid I came across this signed b&w 8x10 of Miss Canada 1959, Danica d’Hondt. I didn’t follow her career and was surprised to learn of her many roles on stage and film and that at 86 she is still active! Anybody know Danica?
