In today’s Wrexham AFC retained list announcement, youth players (L-R) Rio Owen, Alex Moore, Max Purvis and Tom Kelly have all been offered a deal to become first-year professionals.

OTD 2017 ✍️ 8 years ago, Dean Keates made his second signing of the summer with the capture of Shaun Pearson from Grimsby Town on a 2 year deal. Wrexham fans were delighted, and rightfully so. Shaun would be named captain and become a true leader on the pitch for four seasons.

OTD 2016 ✍️ 9 years ago today, Gary Mills signed Paul Rutherford on a free transfer from Southport. Paul would be a regular over the next five seasons, making 199 appearances for Wrexham and scoring 8 goals. He was released at the end of the 2020/21 season before PP arrived.
